I love Cardschat and the great members there!!!

So I got up today and met with my PSR worker which stands for Psycho-Social Rehabilitation, and we got on the subject of keeping a diary or (journal), whichever you prefer. Well he asked me what I do to keep my head on straight and I told him about my blog, so I came in to find the URL for it. Of course I cant keep stuff like that in my head so I had to log in to Cardschat.com to get the address and I had a Private Message from Robwhufc, who is a respected member of the community and it says :
Hey
I saw on your blog that you emptied out on stars, so i've sent you $11.
Pace yourself!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I could have fallen over dead when I read this because I was wondering if I could afford to have my dog shaved and still have any money to play at stars this week!!
Rob, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this and as soon as I rebuild some br I will definitely send that (plus some of my winnings) back to show my appreciation.
That is why I love the community at www.cardschat.com because they are some of the nicest people that I have ever met!!!

Thats it for today folks, if there is anything that you would like me to focus on specifically, then feel free to reply to my blog.

Where did it go??

So my 40.00 deposit at pokerstars is all gone already, and it will be at least two weeks before I can redeposit. As much as I read about bankroll management, I still played it all away within two weeks. I am not the kind of person that can multi-table so I cant really sit down and grind for hours on end, but I LOVE the tourneys and that is where I am going to focus my efforts from now on.

Got fitted for a new wheelchair a month ago, went to my dodtor today for my semi annual visit and to have him sign off so the order could be placed and I will know whether I am getting it or not by Tuesday, I am so psyched to finally get a collapsible chair that fits me as I have my old chair which I have improved to the point that it no longer fits, and a collapsible chair that was given to me with a power chair that doesnt fit either. I think the guy that had both of these chairs was about four feet tall by five feet wide, they are too wide and too short for my 6'4" 285-300 lb frame.

Well thats it for tonight, hopefully I will have great things to add by the next time I post here.

Well this week has definitely been favorable for me in the world of poker. Finished a private tournament in third place Thursday or Friday and cashed for 11.00, and today I made the final table in the Youth vs. Experience event on cardschat, but went out in sixth place. I sure wish they would pay a few more than just the top three, but oh well I guess I need to work on my poker playing skills. One more game tomorrow in the series, and us youth are going to PWN the oldies as well as we did today.
Great showing by us youth, we actually showed up for once and hopefully we all do the same tomorrow also.

Another hump day!!

Well, had built my bankroll at pokertime.com up to 28.00 plus some change playing micro limit tables, Mom came in and talked to me while I was playing and I guess I somehow moved to 1/2 dollar tables because next thing I know it was back down to the 10.00 I started with.
First rule for me is : don't play above your bankroll accidentally or otherwise.
But I figure everyone has a right to some mistakes, and I am just thankful that I hadn't built it big enough to cash out or anything.
Of course, it was just built from their 10.00 sign up bonus so it isn't too big of a deal.
It snowed again here in Idaho today and my back is killing me so I am going to go for now.
Thanks for reading my ramblings,

Nick

Well, hello there everyone. I am Nick Siepert a 33 year old parapalegic who is in this damn wheelchair until I can get walking again.
Today I played a freeroll sponsored by www.cardschat.com and made it to 386th place out of 2000 plus, so I dont feel bad about my play at all.
I have still yet to make it in the money, but with a ton of practice I hope to be ITM soon.
I constantly read through the numerous strategy articles at www.cardschat.com and it seems to be improving my game at a steady rate. Not to say I plan to make a living any time soon at this addictive game of skill/luck, but I hope to make a little bit of spare money before too long.
Well, talk to y'all next time.
